ORZEŁ BIAŁY GROUP completed the first quarter of 2018, with the EBITDA result understood as earnings on operating activities before depreciation/amortisation at the level of PLN 8.4 million, which represents an increase of 117% as compared to the same period last year, mainly due to favourable cost structure of raw materials used for production.

• Orzeł Biały Group profit on operating activities amounted to PLN 6.1 million and was 4 times higher than that in the same period last year.
• Net profit of Orzeł Biały Group amounted to PLN 5.4 million, while the corresponding period of the previous year saw the loss at PLN 0.8 million.
• In the area of ​​core operations, the volume of refined lead sold in the first quarter of 2018 amounted to 16.6 kt.

On April 26, 2018, the Ministry of Environment in Warsaw held a festive Cleaner Production and Circular Economy Conference during which Cleaner Production diplomas and certificates were handed out.

Orzeł Biały Group, Polish producer of refined lead and lead alloys with international reach, generated revenues of PLN 677.1 million in 2017 as compared to PLN 537.3 million in the same period last year.

• Group EBITDA (operating profit before depreciation/amortisation) in 2017 amounted to PLN 33.9 million, up 21.3% as compared to the previous figure.
• Net result of Orzeł Biały Group amounted to PLN 15.9 million, up 238.3% as against 2016.
• In the area of ​​core operations, the volume of refined lead sold in 2017 amounted to PLN 70.3 kt (up 7.1% y-o-y).
  

March 9, 2017 saw Orzeł Biały S.A. having the representatives of the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection (CIEP) and of the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection PIEP) in Katowice, headed by Mr Tadeusz Sadowski, Silesian Provincial Inspector of Environmental Protection. The visit was related to the issue of an  import waste permit, and its purpose was to review installations for recycling of lead batteries.
