Orzeł Biały, Poland`s largest company specialising in the recycling of end-of-life lead-acid batteries and accumulators, earned in 2014 highest revenues in history at PLN 458.6, up 9.0% year-on-year.
EBITDA (operating profit before depreciation and amortisation) in 2014 was PLN +7.9 as against PLN -20.0 million in 2013 while the pre-tax profit was PLN +0.2 million as against a net loss at PLN -20.4 million a year ago. The performance improvement is mainly due to the stabilisation of the battery scrap market.
The volume of lead manufactured and shipped hit a record high in 2014 and was 60.1 kT (up 8.4% y-o-y).
