Orzeł Biały, Poland`s largest company specialising in the recycling of end-of-life lead-acid batteries and accumulators, posted revenues at 211.0 million in the first half-year of 2014 as against PLN 204.9 million a year ago.
EBITDA (operating profit before depreciation and amortisation) was PLN 6.9 million and twice as high as EBITDA for the similar period of H1 last year. The increase is largely due to lower battery scrap prices.
The volume of lead processed and shipped amounted to 14.7 kT in Q2 2014 (up 8% year-on-year) – that was another best second quarter in the Company`s history.
